how to record without phone using car mic

whenever i’m trying to record me doing a pull with my car while it’s connected to the car it always uses the car microphone for the audio instead of recording with audio from my phone so the audio comes out really low quality, also if i have music playing and decide to record on my phone or on snapchat it uses the car microphone and it just sounds horrible in the video.
anyone know a fix?

if you want to take a quick video just turn on airplane mode then shoot the video and then shut it off again!
