How can I got back to split screen car play.

I really appreciate that I have a full screen carplay since doing the ecu update but I would like to go back to half screen most of the time since I like to see the SXM media info while seeing the car play map.

I've messed around in the menu but cant seem to find how to do split-screen in car play is this something that would need to get coded in?
