Yeah it's from this: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/fs-8-8”-lcd-audio-display-8-8-cid-gen2-j29-420-us.11241/Yeah I’ve seen it somewhere on here (hence the photo i saved, it caught my eye) Toyota was silly for putting that small screen in
Do you know where i can find the coding instructions? I just plugged in the new screen but it’s not turning on. I figure either it needs to be either coded first or i got a faulty screen.Yeah it's possible just need to code it with bimmercode.
Ahh ok i see I’ll play around with it tomorrow and see if any of those settings work. Thanks for that info!I'm not at all sure, but fiddling for 2 mins on the app i think I found something that resembles the screen size.
Electronic Control Unit > Headunit >> expert mode
APIX CID > ZIN_VARIANT > 8_8_zoll
If this isn't correct, perhaps similar naming can be looked at under other menus...
Yea I bought a screen from eBay it's coming from Australia and it should be here tomorrow. Here are the instructions that received.Ahh ok i see I’ll play around with it tomorrow and see if any of those settings work. Thanks for that info!
Thank you for the coding instructions! I’m going to be trying it as soon as my obdlink mx shows up.So I added the Android auto and the cool thing about the unit is that it has a HDMI input so I bought a cable from Amazon and it worked great. Now I'm able to mirror the phone to the car with no issues.
I was also able to get a good deal on the larger display. Overall I'm happy with everything, everything is working as it should.
It's an OEM unit from a premium.Thank you for the coding instructions! I’m going to be trying it as soon as my obdlink mx shows up.
So is yours the OEM unit from the premiums or is it an aftermarket one?
? Did you get Android MMI or are you just referring to mirroring phone and Android Auto app?So I added the Android auto and the cool thing about the unit is that it has a HDMI input so I bought a cable from Amazon and it worked great. Now I'm able to mirror the phone to the car with no issues.
