Seen a few people that did it in the forums. I think one was recently selling the 8.8 to revert to original as s/hes selling the vehicle.

Do you know where i can find the coding instructions? I just plugged in the new screen but it’s not turning on. I figure either it needs to be either coded first or i got a faulty screen.

I'm not at all sure, but fiddling for 2 mins on the app i think I found something that resembles the screen size.
Electronic Control Unit > Headunit >> expert mode
APIX CID > ZIN_VARIANT > 8_8_zoll
If this isn't correct, perhaps similar naming can be looked at under other menus...

So I added the Android auto and the cool thing about the unit is that it has a HDMI input so I bought a cable from Amazon and it worked great. Now I'm able to mirror the phone to the car with no issues.

I was also able to get a good deal on the larger display. Overall I'm happy with everything, everything is working as it should.

Thank you for the coding instructions! I’m going to be trying it as soon as my obdlink mx shows up.
So is yours the OEM unit from the premiums or is it an aftermarket one?

? Did you get Android MMI or are you just referring to mirroring phone and Android Auto app?
