I recently got an illumo rgb drl kit for my 26’ premium done by a family friend’s shop because I hate wires and they said they could do it. They aren’t wire specialists or usually do mods but they do it for me since they’re a family friend and they said the install went perfectly. I change it to red immediately because I like the color, but the other day I tried changing it to blue and it wouldn’t change. From what I remember, it changes to all colors on the right drl but the left doesn’t change and only does warmer colors, nothing with any blue light. I’m wondering if this is an install issue since I didn’t go to a professional (they quoted me $250 and I said screw you) or if this was a product issue and I need to contact iilumo.

So you got done for less than $250 and now you are wondering why it's wonky?
Like I said it was a family friend, he would’ve charged me $300 but gave me a discount. Just tryna figure out if the coloring problem would be the product or installation

Do process of elimination.

Switch cables, if the problem stays the same, the cables are not the problem. Switch boards, if the problem is now on the other side, the board is the problem.

If switching the cables moved the problem to the other side, then you know the cable is bad.

I have Ilumo RGBs, one cable died an hour after installation. Went through the process above and determined it was the cable and switched the cable out for a new one and no issues since.
