I’m looking to go pure800 soon with the goal of maxing my power reliably on the stock turbo.

I was curious if port injection or other mods are needed, or can I just pure800 + e30.

I want to get as much power as I can on the stock trans as reliable as possible.

You will max the OEM HPFP before the trans on E30 with a pure 800.

A proper tune will give you good power and keep the OEM HPFP happy. You can easily max the trans with pure 800 + HPFP upgrade.

Okay, I might be wrong (idk much about fueling; this is my first time trying to mess with it), but wouldn’t it be better to just switch to port injection instead?

If you intend to exceed about 600WHP or run high ethanol concentrations, port injection is the most cost-effective path while remaining technically proficient.

If I was planning on sticking with 93, should I bother upgrading the HPFP? I know its a bit of a no-brainer for Eth because of increased fueling requirements, but was interested on getting your take for pump gas.
Not trying to upgrade the trans for a few more years.

Zero need for it with 93 octane.
