Thanks for the heads up! Pretty amazing when companies take the time to actually use a bit of science. I snapped a screenshot of the muffler design....

Even more amazing when a parasite shamelessly and blatantly copies another company’s hard work to sell an inferior product.

How much would you say this reduced drone? I've gotten some on order and I'm wondering how well it works in other people's opinions. Thanks.
Easily 80% reduction. Its so quiet I can’t tell I’m in sport mode. Really nice for long drives. Most of the road noise and noise exhaust drone come from the hatch area.

Wow really that much? Are you still on stock setup or what do you have for your exhaust / downpipe setup? I'm catless with an sp1r exhaust.

Catted downpipe and stock exhaust. No way its cancelling a catless downpipe paired with a SP1R cannon. ?

But it should help a lot though.

Lmao I'll report back if anything it helps. Yeah I'm adjusting to the sound of it so far. Driving to vegas end of this month so hopefully it reduces highway drone. Thanks again

Ha ha ha, agreed. The GTS roar - when you start the car and it well roars. It's fun right, but the neighbors have got to hate us! It's a leftover BMW thing - I heard a Z4 recently that does that too.
I'm curious about the roar start. What conditions need to be met for it to work. Assuming we're talking the default stock OEM roar start... not BM3 enbaled?

Engine should be nice and toasty should be one.

Although sometimes some are louder than others.

For example, shut down, restart car after gassing up - i'll put in in sport mode and she'll start up with a very aggressive roar. Shut off the car, come back after 1 hr to 30mins... no roar. The stars need to be aligned.

Mine is the opposite, gas up and start up in sport mode and nothing. If I do the same thing in comfort mode I get the roar.

Awesome, thanks a lot my guy. ?
Just finished "dynamating" my trunk area and layed out the Mass Loaded Vinyl as well, stoked to take out the car to see if it cuts the drone. It's 40 degrees here and no way i'm taking the car out this week.....damn arctic cold front. For the record - I have a full Titan exhaust (catless steel downpipe mated to their valved titanium cat back) and it has some pretty bad drone at about 2400-2900rpm but pretty much only when the valves are open. Thanks everyone who started the thread and contributed, i hope this is a pretty simple fix.

Bro. Some thick metal sheets of glue in your trunk ain’t gonna help this. You have a straight pipe exhaust. It’s gonna drone like crazy
