A couple minutes after leaving the dealership my check engine light came on. I was heading to an appointment for ppf/tint so I didn't have time to check it out then, but I got it home today and scanned the codes. There were 6 knock sensor fault codes.

Has anyone else seen something like this? The dealership said they are going to make sure to take care of it, I'd just like to have an idea of what I'm going in with, or if I can steer them in the right direction.

I had the dealer not fill the car up so it was running on whatever had been in it from the factory. I filled up today, but no change yet.

Well, good news I think? The light was off and stayed off for my entire drive home from work. Hopefully it was just a crappy batch of gas.

From my time working at a Toyota dealer, Toyota generally puts a pitiful amount of gas in the cars prior to sending them off to the dealers. It's entirely likely with the factory amount of fuel, depending on if you went up/down any steep hills or anything that the pickup ran dry for a brief moment and caused a brief lean/knock condition, triggering the code.

Then after filling it with gas and driving for a bit, it cleared itself.

They used to deliver Tundra's and Sienna's with so little gas in them that if you parked them on an upward incline and left them for a bit, they'd fail to start afterwards cause there wasn't enough gas in the tank for the pump to be able to get any to the engine.
