Another pristine garage pic and… What shop do you use or recommend for this chap? What do you need?
Dude probably ran into a BMW Supra in the past, couldn’t figure it out or have the proper tools for it. Made him feel more insecure about his already deep rooted insecurities and you lucked out with him venting it to you.I actually pulled the info off of protuning freaks list of local dealers, though it may be outdated. I'm about an hour or so north of West Palm Bay or south of Orlando, didn't have much luck on google maps and then I came across that dealer list just reading up on bm3. There is a shop in Miami that regularly works on the A90 as I understand but I was just hoping to see if I could find someone closer than a three hour drive. If anyone is relatively in this area and knows of anyone that could pass that info along, it would be much appreciated. But I can always just look through the Florida posts also.
Thank you for the info. Currently she is my only means of transport and I work M-F 8-5 so yeah, not having an operating vehicle is a big factor. Sure, I could rent a car but once the dme leaves my hands there's no telling what can/will happen despite anyone's "gurantees". If you can recommend a fairly trustworthy shop in Orlando that would be much appreciated, no worries otherwise I appreciate the input anyway. Thank you, again.uggh. most of the shops in FL i dont trust at all. If what youre looking for is to switch from JB4 to a proper tune, just do this:
Europerformancecenter for the femto trip and unlock
BM3 if you only ever plan to do VERY simple mods. MHD otherwise.
Find a good remote tuner.
If you REALLY need an Orlando area shop for something, DM me and I can point you in the right direction.

so again, name the shop you spoke to
Yes I suppose you make a valid point. I hesitated to publicly shame them despite their stupidity and well-deserved need to be shamed but I would definitely hate to find out that someone else had to experience that sort of crap from some idiot who has a personal problem with any A90/91 that happens to wander into their shop unknowingly.so again, name the shop you spoke to
You need to get a beater that you can drive around when your car has to be worked on or goes down for any reason. That alone will save you a massive peace of mind. Make that your next mod!Thank you for the info. Currently she is my only means of transport and I work M-F 8-5 so yeah, not having an operating vehicle is a big factor. I am 99.9% that using the MHD unlocker only allows you to use MHD maps. BM3 may do their own version of a bench unlock module, but not sure as I decided to go MHD early on when I started looking at the 2 platforms.
I am sure there is also some generic bench unlock tools out there, but may be more expensive and maybe more complicated to use. I am also pretty novice on this stuff where the Supra is the first car that I have messed with the ECU. Personally, I liked the idea of getting the unlock tool + maps all from one company where it’s all tested/integrated together for a (in theory) simpler process. My MHD unlocker gizmo is sat in a drawer at home where I can still take my car to Toyota for service/warranty knowing that if they accidentally updated ECU I have all the tools to put MHD back on.
NOTE: For anyone reading this in the future.. This Is only for the early ECUs that do not need Femto!
My sisters boyfriends sibling owns that shop. How dare you.Church Street Garage, any and all A90/91 owners stay away from these people located in Stuart, FL.
