Looking to find a an independent shop/mechanic that can install/adjust various parts, mostly towards a track setup. Not interested in the speedstars, tokyotoguefanboys type speciality shops where they recommend for you to put every known SPL part on your car and charge $1000 to install coilovers.

Just an honest mechanic that I can stop by and get some work done.

Any recommendations?

If you're willing to make the trek to OC, I highly recommend @Speed Logic

No BS BMW specialists who won't upsell you and help you meet your personal goals/needs.

JMP Autowerkz, Racecars Unlimited, or European Auto Source.

These are BMW track rat shops. I have taken mine to EAS and JMP. Racecars unlimited is a second location of JMP.

Not the cheapest, but they work on fast track cars that get it done.

The only person that wouldn’t recommend getting all the spl adjustable arms for your car are those people that knows what is really going on in the track, and knows how each of these parts perform. Most of these shops like mentioned above will do it, why? They want to earn profit pretty much.

Have you thought about doing it on your own? I'm the best mechanic I know ?
I don't take my cars to anyone else because I have trust issues. I will let someone else near it only if there is something that I just can't figure out (carburetors, electrical). Otherwise, I know I'll do it right. I've had bad experiences with most shops.

This has been my experience as well. And I do almost all my work, though it takes a long time.
