I’m confused, that link shows $50,xxx and its probably more as it’s one of those internet prices that have hidden costs.
Understandable you would think that but I'm not going to steer a fellow forum member wrong. I paid something like $1500 in dealer fee and freight combined which closed the gap but bottom line it was still a very good deal--better than what I saw at other dealers in the area. To me, paying $45K used and $50-52K new... it's a toss-up whether to go new or used in that scenario.

If anyone sees a good deal around the Calif area, let me know. I am open to buying used :).

No worries. I was simply genuinely confused and misread you. Not uncommon for me.

The dealer also has a non-premium 53k MSRP advertised at 47k. Would be tough to get to 43-45. what I really want to find is a 2020 base 50k MSRP model discounted the same as other 2020 premiums haha but I can't find any. I don't really care about the options...

I think you just have to add taxes and tags. For this price, you can probably negotiate around 49K. There are tons of 2020 and a good number of 2021 that have less than 10K miles for sale. Another few months of wait, new 2021s may be discounted more.

no i think he meant that the price difference between a 44k used one and a brand new one for 50-51k isnt that much, and with some more negotiating and incentives one can bridge the gap even further.

Generally for anyone who can afford a 50k car and not go broke, can generally afford an additional 5-6k in monthly payments if you're going the financing route. Its a bit of an assumption, but not one thats totally wrong either.
