Moding/Tuning decreases engine reliability?

It depends on how it's driven. If you drive a stock car at 100% and a modded car at 75% the modded car will likely last longer. When someone starts modding their car however, they tend to drive it harder too, compounding the effect. Besides that, there's the tune. A good one will last forever, a bad one 3 pulls on a dyno lol.
I say this about my wifes evo. She gets on it very sparingly, never getting into boost much or super high. Basically driving a Camry around. I said to myself, this engine has got to last forever without much load on it right!! haha Brakes are another story!

Try some Hawks HPS+ pads. Put them on the wife’s GTI. Holy ? it’s night and day!!
I put WORKS Blue pads on there and its stopping power and pedal feel I can only wish for in the Supra. She just knows her brakes rock and absolutely abuses them ?
