I'm sorta in shock right now. Yeah, I'll save 2 grand. Yeah, I really wanted a white one....But.... first 24 UK orders get the matte gray Supra....

I don't know how to feel right now. Email received from Toyota UK:

Thank you for placing your order for the new Supra. It is with sincere regret that we write to advise you it will not be possible for us to supply you with an A90 Special Edition. We realise this is likely to cause a great deal of disappointment so with this in mind I feel it’s is vitally important to provide you with an explanation as to why this has happened.

I’m sure you will appreciate that the re-introduction of the Supra has been met with unprecedented level of interest and specifically a high level of demand for the A90 Special Edition. As a result of this demand, we experienced a technical failure in our order system which allowed orders to be accepted in excess of the available number of vehicles that were actually available. Unfortunately, it has not been possible for us to secure any additional supply of the A90 Special Edition. Please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and disappointment this will cause you.

In light of the above and as a gesture of goodwill, your new Supra 3.0L Pro will be supplied with a free 2 year service plan and you will receive an invitation to attend a Toyota Gazoo Motorsport Event as a guest of Toyota (GB) PLC. We recognise this may be of little consolation but hope is goes some way towards restoring your faith in us.

You may prefer to wait to test drive the Supra 3.0L Pro before making your decision and, should this be the case, your reservation will be maintained during this time. If you would prefer instead to cancel your order, our team will arrange for your reservation fee to be refunded.

Please reply to this email how you would like to proceed and our team will be able to confirm the next steps.

We are truly sorry for any disappointment this may have caused, but hope you will continue with your order and look forward to welcoming you and your new Supra 3.0L Pro at a Toyota Gazoo Motorsport Event.

    Yours sincerely

    Richard Lacey
    General Manager, Product Marketing
    Toyota (GB) PLC

Oh wow that sucks! I haven't received an email like this (yet) and we both got confirmation at about the same time! Will just have to wait and see if I'm in the lucky 24 or not...

That said though, what they're offering is pretty good, a service plan is nice and the event invite sounds cool.

I wonder if all the emails went out at the same time for the over-orders or they're going through one-by-one?

That really sucks, sorry to hear about your bad luck. Those perks do sound awfully nice though.

Sigh, yeah, I had jumped on it too. I have emailed them back, asking about how to progress the order now. In scenarios like this things can get "stuck" in the system and then we don't get a car at all. Also emailed my dealer to make sure he's aware and can handle any issues. No response from either yet.

So glad I haven't received that email, yet anyways. However wouldn't have minded 2 years free servicing.

I'd ask for something like keeping the warranty even with bolt-ons and a tune, or 2k more off the price, something like that.

I got the email today too.... absolutely gutted, I've been humming and harring over Caymen, M2 Competition and the Supra, I was 100% set on the A90 Edition when I got the order confirmation. Really not sure what to do now.

I've even created a new word - Suprangry

    Yup....

So close, but no.... not for you.

I like the offer Toyota has given, but I feel a little extra is needed.

I so nearly went for the A90 edition but the live refresh then changed to "sold out".

Happier with the Lightning yellow as I will feel more comfortable modding in the future.

Gutted for you guys who have had to deal with this.

Saying that, the perks aren't too bad.

Although I heard from my dealer that all Supra buyers were getting a track day etc included?

My dealer has spoken about the "Supra Experience" which may be happening around May at a track or proving ground. As far as I know there are no confirmed details about it but it is where the people who have ordered will get to test the car out for the first time I think.
