I went 35% and find it perfect. 20% to me is just way too dark. Can't even imagine adding something to the front window....
I went with 20% on the rear window, 35% on the sides and 50% on the windshield. 50% lets a surprising amount of light through and I've not been stopped by any cops for it.

Might need to start popping D3 pills with that tint. People around here be on suicide watch with windows that dark in the winter.

"SAD."

(Here I'm doing my Trump impression. It's not very good, but it lacks the appropriate amount of empathy.)

Also:

"Seasonal Affective Disorder."

(Holy shit, after living in the U.S. for 19 years, I'd forgotten how little sun there is here in British Columbia in the winter.)

Windshield tint isn’t that noticeable even at 50%. Just helps keep the cabin cool and protects the dashboard and other interior elements that get beaten down by the UV rays coming through the windshield. Also helps cut down on the morning low sun glare and reduces light glare at night.

If I still lived in Texas where we had 300 days of sun and 90 days of 100’+ temps it would be perfect tint.

Here in Seattle I have zero tint and the car still feels too dark in the cabin. Anytime I go for a cruise my windows are always down to maximize sunlight.

good choice in % rating and also nice yellow esp with the new stock wheels
Thanks. For reference, I’m in Florida where no tint is basically a death sentence year round.
Also, for those considering percentages, I’m sitting in the driver’s seat in the photo as well.

I tinted mine and even though its not that dark (darkest legal tint here) it's dark af at night. Looks great from the outside but its so dark that I decided to code a reduction of the auto dimming rear view mirror.. and completely turned the auto dimming of the side mirror off.
Damn I should do this, what's the bimmercode page/advanced setting for this?

I got 50% tint. I can see just about everything, but sometimes I do need to lower the window to see the parking space.

I tried to create a thread for that... but there wasn't much buy in. 😅

There's a few other codes I know of but haven't experimented with them enough to know if they actually work as intended.

Take the windshield banner off, it's already a small windshield, don't need to make it any more smaller than what it is. Lol.

i went 20% for all windows and 70% on the windshield, feels like i'm driving a big ass ray ban sunglass on wheels lol. Still have good visibilty at night too.

~ I couldn't agree more. I typically see windshield banners on pick up trucks where I live.
