Window Tint Question... 35% or 50% ?!?

I’m having the windows tinted this week and plan to have 35% charcoal on the rear window and 50% on the front windshield.

On the fence regarding 35% or 50% for the side windows.

I don’t want the car to appear blacked out. Given the interior is black and cavernous... perhaps I should do 50% on the sides?!?

Any pics one could share with 35% or 50% tint would be appreciated for reference. Thanks

I'm at 50% front 30% sides/rear (xpel prime xr black). I feel it's dark enough during the day that I reach for sunglasses less, but not blacked-out and I can still see at night. How dark it appears during the day depends on lighting.

I went 35% and feel that it is too dark with the small cab. Especially in CA.

I don't have a Supra yet, but I was in a similar situation with my last car a CTR. I originally did 35% on the sides and especially at night time, I would have to roll down the windows to see effectively where I live. Mainly cause the street lighting sucks. With the way the Supra is, I would recommend doing like 40-50%. You should be able to shop around and find a place that does 40-45% if you feel 50 is a little too light.

Anyone know if the HUD is still visible with the front windshield tinted ? Im on the fence with what % i want as well. Most people I see are going with 15/20% on the sides and 45/50 on the windshield.

Just to give someone a reference, I run 50% Pinnacle on one of my daily driver's front side window to match the rear factory dark-ish tint on my SUV. It's a fairly close match.

I usually run 35% all around on my hobby cars, but on my Supra, I do not run any aftermarket tint.

I have 5% on the back window and the two little side windows. The doors I went with 35%. It’s not too dark for me personally.
