Right, that lip is there stock. They bore out the little whistle tip holes in that lip to make the whistle tip noises.

It uhhh, is there... all... the... time... I have GMS kit, so this was just for testing. Going to install it or at least attempt to install it on a 6 port for testing. I just put a Tomei single on and its catless, so it's not as noticeable with the radio on and the exhaust. BUT no way I'd live with this with a stock exhaust.

basically. Its not actually a T51R mod, just inspired by it for the sound. I someone wanted to pay pure for their turbo inlet he could do that for sure, but this was done to make it fit stock inlet.

this one would be for an aftermarket inlet. its not bored out or finished, just testing

I just unbolted the turbo and the turbo mount under it to the engine. Unbolted the DP mount and it pulled back far enough to reach a 1/4” drive 12” long extension and 10mm socket. Again it’s on a 2 port, I haven’t done a 6 port yet it may be harder… it may be easier, but I have one lined up to do soon.

Remove the downpipe. It makes everything so much easier.

I unbolted the DP from the mount but kept it on the turbo. But mines a 2port so maybe that’s why. Matt stated the 6 port has the identical measurements as my 2port housing. I’ll be installing a 6 port next weekend. After that I believe SI is sending off some to have them in stock for trades.

@gixxersixxerman Hey do you have any videos inside the cabin? How's the sound just cruising on the highway? Also, any issues with the ECU tripping out lol?
I'm assuming if it gets too annoying we can just throw back our stock air box, that should mute some of the sound
