Hey guys, Didn't see anything specific to Texas so thought I'd ask. Sorry if it was been posted. Did a search but only saw emissions related posts for other states.

If Catless DP is installed and the CEL is turned off via Tune, will it fail emissions in Texas?
Mainly looking at Collin County area.
I understand that outside of the Dallas area, a lot of counties don't have emissions requirements so that's beautiful but more curious on the counties that do.

Will having Not Ready in the reading cause problems?
I'm based in CA but will be moving to Texas (Dallas area) so figuring out if Catless or Catted is the way based on the emissions BS we have to deal with.

I am in Austin and as long as your engine light is not on you are good to go assuming you did not just reset it. If tune takes it out you are good to go! Pending on the county most plug into OB2, some only do basics wipers, headlights, tires. Just google collin’s and see if what they check.

I am in Collin county, and there is no tailpipe test. If obd2 reads ready, then you are good to go. I have had multiple tuned and catless cars. I have never had a problem.

You can have 1 not ready and still pass, but if you have 2 obd2 not ready, you will fail.

I think the biggest mistake people make is using an obd2 reader to reset engine codes, driving for a few minutes, getting a test and failing because obd2 reads not ready.
