Good morning everyone,
I am looking for a copy of the PDI checklist Toyota dealerships are supposed to be using when they receive a Supra. My dealership refuses to send it to me when I asked. Ive seen it referenced online, but cant find the actual document. Also, how much oil is the car shipped with and if it isnt a full 6.5 - 7 qts, is it part of the PDI to fill it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Back story if youre curious. My Supra is currently sitting at the dealership with 11k miles on it. Ive burned through roughly 15 quarts of oil in that time (assuming the car had 7 qts when I bought it) and am being told that it is perfectly normal - "Engine Break-In". Ive owned two Evos and a Lexus RCF, doing the engine break-ins on all of those, and have never burned more than a couple of quarts. I was still was able to make it to the prescribed oil change period no problem. Im pursuing the Texas Lemon Law since the low oil level has come in four times now and they are still refusing to replace the engine or even investigate the cause. I believe the root cause is the PDI was done incorrectly and I broke in the engine with no oil. It first came in at 2500 miles, they added 1 quart and it came in again at 4500 miles. Im just trying to get all documents and details in a row before I submit my claim to Tx DMV. Thanks everyone.
