Pre 06/20 ECU locked by dealer question.

I apologize if this question been answered already and for posting a new thread.

My situation Is that I bought my wife a90 on 12/26/21 from one of the local toyota dealer it's a certified used so I'm assuming they check everything and most likely updated the ecu. The production date on the chassis said 02/20, I'm safe on the date since it's pre 06/20. Now my question is can the ecu get benched unlocked or not?

Production date doesn't matter. Pull the ECU and check it there. Only takes a minute.

But you should be fine. You can almost certainly bench unlock.

Production date on chassis doesn’t determine unfortunately.

It’s very easy to check. I sent you a PM with a video of how to do so.

FWIW the production date on my 2021 was 3/20 and the ECU was dated 2/20. You should be good.

I'm hoping and just to clarify it's a 2020 3.0 premium.

That was my fault for not posting the year model but yeah a 2020 3.0 premium the previous owner picked it up July 2020.

I got the time to pull the ecu a little bit to show the date and yes it's made 01/17/20.

Nope. Just unlocks it again. Nothing that cray with a bench unlock.
