Can anyone tell me if bimmergeeks protool would allow me to change the speed sign displayed in the cluster and hud? To clarify a bit further my car currently displays euro style speed limit signs. Noticed it also only recognizes euro style speed signs (only source of proof is it will show blank until I drive by a 76 gas station sign) need it to recognize and show rectangle US style speed limit signs.

I'd venture that BimmerCode might be able to do this if you find the right codes. I know how to remove the speed limit from the HUD but as for changing sign regions, I don't know.
