I am getting a pro tune next month, I ordered the flex fuel kit and a catless downpipe. My question is, how safe is doing a E50 tune on a Supra that’s driven 4 to 5 days a week? Will it cause any internal corrosion? Or cause future problems? I drive mostly like a grandpa and only give it the occasional hard throttle after the entire car has warmed up. What are your thoughts or experiences?

Several of my local guys run e50 or flex tunes. No issues really, but most of us will run 93 octane only from time to time. The only real noticeable thing for me is that my car starts up slower if it sits with e50 in the tank for more than 3-4 days.

Is it any different if one is running a JB4 rather than an ECU tune? That is, would it still be safe and reasonable to run E50 with a JB4?

I dont see how the JB4 can add additional fueling. Unless there's a map that Berger tuning has for e50, I would not run it since it cannot compensate. Could be a bad combination.

Any one else running e50 or that’s had experience with it over time?
