Hello hello,

I'm just curious to hear people's opinions and experiences in methanol on their B58 Supras.

I've heard horror stories about AEM kits flooding engines in other vehicles, and back in the day Snow Performance wasn't much better.

Aquamist seems to be top of their game, but I recently ordered the Snow Performance kit becuase of convenience and less wait time.

Everyone's thoughts on Snow Performance and said other brands, above?

What tuning suite are you running on the car now? Whats your full mod list?
I'm running pretty standard bolt-ons:

AMS intake
AMS catted downpipe
AMS chargepipe
Tomei single-exit exhaust

+ the Snow Performance meth kit

Do you have E85 available locally out in Vancouver, BC? I might suggest going that route if and only if its available for you. Lot safer long term, cheaper, and easier to handle fillups etc. Options for Flexfuel and tuning and plentiful on this specific Supra platform.

With that said don't want to deviate from your original topic. Lot of these Meth injection kits work great for good power - that is until they have an issue with Meth boiling over in the hot engine compartment, a leak, or lack or uneven distribution due to injecting in one spot only or even two with two smaller nozzles especially on more aggressive tunes.

From my experience Meth is a quick power adder but if given one of the above scenarios or lack of octane if meth isn't pushing - it makes for a hot cylinder quickly and does not allow proper octane backup for said hot tune. If you don't have E85 available locally then Methanol usage with a high high quality controller is a must.

Now what tune or tuning suite are you planning to run? This make a big difference on end decision making.

guys has anyone had any issues with the snow kit? I have an issue where is sprays shortly after priming it, but after a few minutes, it doesn't spray, which is weird. thanks.

I had this issue with the snow kit. The lines would drain back into the reservoir and it would take a while to spray again. I fixed this by putting a check valve as close as possible to the nozzle(s).

I am personally running an AEM kit. I have had zero issues and bought the P2 tuned bracket to secure it. Starts spraying at 9psi and full spray at 18psi. I am using the middle nozzle that came with the kit. The light is mounted inside my driver side vent where I don’t have to look over too much to see it effectively spraying. The controller is mounted in the glove box, where most people run it.
Only downside is that anytime you touch the car or open a door it activates power to the pump for about 6-8 minutes then stops. Maybe I need to change the fuse location??
