Rust behind Heat shield/ turbo

Several components in a turbo setup are made of iron. This improves durability, reliability, and heat tolerance compared to other metals. This iron is exposed to aggressive heating/cooling cycles. This causes a harmless layer of iron oxide (rust) to form on the exterior. This is totally normal of turbo setups that use cast iron hotsides and/or manifolds.

Because it's iron and iron rusts.
So there wouldn’t be any problems

thanks for this info. It just really helped me stop from over thinking lol
