Hey,

I already have a ECU/DME thread but time is of the essence here so I hope its okay that I do another one.

I've already paid for and packaged my ECU to be unlocked by Femto. Femto advised me to declare a value of €40 if DHL asks and recommended not to insure the shipment. Since I’m in the EU, I think DHL marked the value field as "optional," so I left it blank and didn't add insurance.
Did I mess up by doing that, or is this the correct approach? I haven't sent the package yet (gonna do it tomorrow morning), so in theory, I could still pay double to change if needed.

Thanks :).

If you don't declare a value, customs will assess one. Why people can't follow the extremely basic instructions provided by femto is beyond me. Good luck with your extra fees

My country and Finland are both in the EU, I'm pretty sure there will be no customs. Just wanted to double check. Femto also says "Declare max 40€ (if DHL asks for it)" but DHL said its optional.

For all my fellow EU Supra owners. I declared 0 € and 4k Euro insurance with DHL. Came back no issues. Thanks.
