Stock MT Supra Sounds Underwhelming?

The fact that we have literal cliques forming around the following groups of people is so interesting. Honestly, anything but a clean exhaust note just feels so weird unless you have the performance to back up the noises, because at this point when hot hatches are doing this crap, it just completely waters down the experience. Of course, when you're talking about some insane cars like 800+ hp GTRs, and twin turbo'd R8/Hurracans, that's a totally difference world.

  1. Pops & bangs (sport mode) good, gurgles and burbles good.
  2. Pops & bangs (sport mode) bad, gurgles and burbles good.
  3. All noises bad, clean exhaust best.

2020 tuned and even though I love them, I turn them off in the neighborhood.
And the parking garage .... I scared the daylights out of a co-worker. LOL.

Buddy has a 2022 and he tells me mine is clearly more aggressive.
Funny side note, I played with the ecutek setting and threw them up to max one day.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.... turned it back down in 3 minutes.

I have burbles now on my 23, no way to get rid of them and I think the stock burbles are actually really good, they didn’t go overboard like the 2020 had, and then when I Tuned the 20 and had the Big Bangs I eventually turned the burbles off completely and loved it. It’s also why I drive in normal mode a lot…

Pops and bangs only sound good when you're coming off heavy acceleration, like 4K+ RPM and absolutely flogging the shit out of the car. When you're cruising in the city, your car shouldn't sound like gunfire. Hell, just look at the F-type R with the V8 and how it handles the pops and bangs, savagegeese's video on the F-type is probably the most real-world experience with it, compared to other reviewers who constantly try to emphasis it.

Burbles & gurgles sounds like the car is having a long wet fart, or like water running down an open drain.

I have some good videos of stock exhaust when my a91 mt was brand new granted it’s much louder revving with the clutch depressed…, but easy way to fix it, thjs is my exhaust setup and it sounds nutty, too loud for me and still retains a catted dp and no Cel or tuning.















































This is an aftermarket exhaust with stock cat or an aftermarket catted dp? Does not sound stock :)

I am in group 1. Just not too obnoxious pops and bangs so maybe 1.5.

I bought a sports car to have fun, feel connected and hear it make intake, turbo and exhaust noises. If I wanted my car quiet I can just jump into my Model S and get all the speed & more without any of the sound.
