Nice color :)

Yes it is normal in most cars on full lock to see that camber.

Have you tried turning off vsc/traction control ?

(Perhaps don't do it on the road until you're comfortable) but to practise and feel where the traction goes playing around in the parking lot and perhaps go to a drift school or any sort of track day/driver course for starters.
yes! I have tried this. Drift school would be a good idea. Not trying to ruin any local ecosystems now

First, don't video yourself committing a crime. And if you do video it, don't post on a public forum announcing to the world that you committed a crime and you have video evidence of it. Unless you own that lot, some poor bastard paid to have all those white lines painted. What's harmless fun for you is ruining someone's well manicured parking lot.

Next, you are looking to get the back wheels to break traction. A locked diff helps because the inside wheel will be forced to spin as fast as the outside wheel which will cause it to slip. Once 1 tire slips the backend doesn't have as much grip as the front and out comes the back end for an adventure. Excessive power is another option to get the tire to spin but you have to have traction control turned off. TC doesn't realize you're playing a game and will cut power (via the brake iirc) in the vain attempt to save your life. Third option is the emergency break. This causes the back wheels to lock which means they'll have less grip than the front and out comes the backend for another walk about. Our cars have a stupid electronic parking brake which limits the fun factor for this approach.

TC is awesome by the way, never ever turn it off unless your playing around like this. TC probably saved as many lives as safety glass and crumple zones with the added bonus of preventing the crash in the first place.
there's an electronically controlled rear differential. Love me some traction control - also all the electronic assists are on for me at this point (such as lane departure)

That was certainly the best drifting attempt ive ever seen we gotta let dom know to make room for one more in the family
I'd say this is more of a test of the minimum amount of effort to get the rear end to slide. There is barely any power here guys c'mon gimme a break!

That's on the 3.0. Sadly the 2.0 in the USA gets a mechanical open diff. The 3.0 electronically controlled one is an option outside of the USA.
ahh yeah I was just searching to verify that and I couldn't find anything on the 2.0 diff. thank you!

Same here, 1st drive from new from the dealership, nearly killed me on the highway, I thought the car was "broken" ?
I feel like everyone has had this same experience on the drive home from the dealer. It’s basically a Supra Rite of Passage at this point.

hey I wanted to touch back on this - supra 2.0 definitely has vsc and traction control features. doesn't this mean the diff is electronically controlled???

No, VSC and TC is throttle, ignition timing and brake application.
