supra bm3 flex fuel kit

I recently installed the Bootmod3 Flex Fuel Basic Kit for my Supra. everything is setup and it says for checking ethanol levels i have to push down the button on the steering wheel. each rpm represents the percentage of ethanol. 1kpm=10%, 2k=20%... but when push the button down to check my ethanol content it drops to 0rpms meaning 0% ethanol. my car has 91 octane and is still on stage 2 for 91. online says that 91 octane should have around 10% ethanol so it should be at 1krpms instead of 0. is it showing 0% because i haven't installed a flex fuel tune yet. or should it be able to show me my ethanol content regardless of the tune flashed. i am also on empty with like 15 miles left if that has anything to do with it

Flash the "Multimap" tune and try again. With a flex fuel kit installed, there’s no reason to use any of the other OTS tunes.

If it’s still not working after that, you probably messed up the wiring.

should work for reading no matter what BM3 bit you have flashed.

Here is a how-to I recorded a couple years back, you are doing this? Sounds like you are going into map switching and not ethanol % reading.
