Supras in Vegas 2024

Yeah longer course is awesome. Looking at weather here it's showing low 90's which isn't surprising given it's still 103's here right now. Running earlier this year it was 100 in the afternoon and car started pulling timing and brakes gave up on last run of the day, stock setup.

How did they organize last year? Run groups by skill, modifications or just let it rip?

I think I was their with you the last time. My car was not happy either towards the end of the day. I could do one lap, then power cut...

There was basically no organization last year. No idea what group I was in or when I was supposed to run. They didnt make it clear at all. Basically, if I remember right, it was you get to run every 2 hours, in whatever time slot you got assigned. But zero announcements...

I signed up for the track event back in early August and my cart showed "processing" until recently when it just disappeared completely and now my cart is empty. I wrote the organizers to find out if I am signed up or not and they haven't responded in several days. Sounds like they aren't very organized so maybe I will just skip this event. Too bad because I live in Las Vegas and would love to drive my Supra on the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch track. Oh well, maybe I will just do the PCA HPDE event there the following weekend. At least they are much more organized!

You would have got an email titled "Your SIV order has been received!" if your order went through.

Dont get me wrong, the track day is still fun. Just dont expect to set any lap records cause there will be a lot of first timers out there (hopefully they get grouped together this year). Will be my 4th time at Spring Mountain! Friday night is most likely going to turn into a party, which is always a blast. The car show portion is just ok.

Anyone know if I need to pick up track numbers? i ordered some from some janky website and they ended up being about 6in tall might be too short.

No numbers needed if I remember right. I went back and checked my emails from last year and didn’t see anything either.

ah, that's a relief. Doesn't sound like it will be too competitive for Sunday. I was trying to figure out how i can squeeze cargo for 2 and track day stuff in this tiny ass trunk lol. I'm bringing a helmet, air pump and torque wrench. maybe a small thing of oil.

I’ll take a picture of my trunk once it’s packed. It’s amazing what can fit. I bring an ez up and 2 chairs too haha. Literally can’t see out of the back window and the woman has a bunch of junk down by her feet. Just have to be a bit creative.

Same, super bummed. Spent a ton of money and time getting my car ready. I’ll talk to my co worker who knows one the organizers for Spring Mountain. They were organizing signups along side the SIV track day.

same here. yea if you could see what's going on on their end. i mean what's stopping us from just showing up. if it was reserved for us anyway.

Sounds like the whole day is shot. All I know is Porsche Club is hosting the following weekend that you can still sign up for if that's any constellation.

Well that sucks. Looks like I will cancel my room in Pahrump and just stay in Vegas all weekend. Anyone want to go to BattleBots on Sunday instead?
