someone paying 55k+, such as a supra, is gonna expect some level of creature comfort. so those are typically going to be 'gt' cars.

also some cars are designed to ride too stiff to give the feeling of a 'track car'. see the new civic type r.

I guess your and my definition of GT differ in that my version is very quiet. My Supra on the highway at 80 MPH is not what I'd call quiet. It is quieter than my MX5, but the LC500 and the Jag F-Type were a more sound-insulated experience.
