I have noticed on my fender a thick yellow substance. When I touched it I felt like grease and tried several chemicals to try and get it off my paint with no luck. I checked under the hood and seems like packing grease seeping from the holes in the hood. Does anyone else have this problem and any ideas on how to remove it?

Idk what you’re talking about but have you tried a degreaser like goo-gone?

i would leave it alone, it looks like it was put there for a reason, the sealer in the first pic looks incomplete, the yellow might be a factory band aid

I have it too, its some type of rust inhibitor. I just cleaned what I could with simple green and called it good.

Could be zinc chromate. I believe the aluminum components go through a zinc chromate dip to galvanize them for corrosion protection. It's possible some of this solution got hung up in the interior parts of the hood, got concentrated through evaporation, and now is slowly leaking out.

Take it to the dealer and have them inspect, clean, and remove if necessary.
