So I was reverting my mirror caps to OEM and my driver's side mirror glass came off super easy - turns out the glass broke right off the collar that clips onto the motor. Unfortunately it looks like that collar is glued to the mirror - does that mean I have to buy this entire mirror? OEM 2020-2024 Toyota GR Supra Mirror Glass Part # 87961-WAA06 | Modern Toyota Parts. Will this be easy to fix or should I just say f it and take it to the dealer to take care of it? Thanks for any insight.

looks like rexpeed. i had the same issue even though i was extra delicate installing it and keeping it perfectly aligned before pressing in. the design is way too fragile compared to stock. rexpeed would not cover it, i had to buy another.

Oh the mirror itself is aftermarket? Bought the car used and I had no idea.

The way way to tell is that the factory Mirror has a bunch of wire retainer clips, so you don't need tape on the back.

i have a spare oem driver side mirror if you want to go that route. shoot me a pm if you want it
