I'm going to be changing to a new tuner and having a new tune made from scratch here soon. I'm the type of person that likes to play with different small adjustments if possible and datalog to see the effects. I used to tinker w/ my AEM standalone on my MKIV Supras in the past to dial in an optimize the tune. I know EcuTek allows your tuner to set certain custom inputs user-adjustable via EcuTek's RaceROM phone software for on-the-fly adjustments... and you have four map slots that can change on-the-fly via cruise control. So two question:

1.) Besides your typical burble controls, what are some useful custom inputs to request for your tuner to enable? I'm not entirely sure what parameters a tuner can set to be user-adjustable and know many may be questionably less-than-safe to the average idiot. Here's some of my thoughts... I have no idea they're possible...

- Negative Max Torque Request Per Gear: use as a form of traction control and power dial across all maps with only negative adjustments available, 0 being the tune's intended max targets
- Rolling AntiLag Parameters (Boost Target, Ignition Ramp Rate, etc.): allow for a more dialed RAL experience... assuming this feature works effectively by now
- Traction Control Adjustments: not sure if EcuTek allows for a simple way to dial in the factory TC?
- Fan Control Max Override: request fan speeds to be at max for fastest cooling between runs / sessions

2.) What are efficient uses of the additional map slots? I'm using a ethanol sensor to allow for full flex capability so no need for separate maps for E%. I was thinking of requesting two maps (normal & aggressive) w/ and w/o methanol injection activated... and have a switch hardwired to enable/disable the methanol system completely. The positive would be the ability to use zero methanol for 95% of everyday driving while having the ability to enable a methanol-specific map and switch when I want a lil extra kick. The negative would be adding a point of failure (me) if I forget to switch the methanol kit on after swapping to a methanol-specific map. --- This seems convenient to allow me to micro-manage methanol usage via map selection and power level via user-adjustable max torque per gear.

Sooo, anyone have any suggestions or want to share their setups? Any quality of life user-adjustable or creative inputs that most people don't think of?

Good luck asking any overpriced ecutek tuner to tell you answers to those questions. Go with an open platform that many enthusiasts use as well as tuners like BM3 or MHD and ask in their communities or pages. Some even have tuning guides.
