Hi! Was just wondering if it was okay to jack up the car from the side, using an adapter onto the plastic jack stand points? The jack I have isn't low profile enough to get underneath to the diff/near the oil pan, so was just wondering if it was okay jacking it from just the sides, or will this cause issues. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can jack from the side. But if you're doing any work underneath definitely leave those spots for jack stands. Try driving up on some 2x’s to give you more space for the jack.

Sounds good! Just swapping wheels out so won't be doing anything underneath the car as for now. Will def purchase a set of maintenance ramps in the future though to jack it up from the diff/near oil pan in the future. Thank you for the help!

Sounds like you’ve got the right idea on getting some Race Ramps. I leave my car perched on them when its parked in the garage.

It’s so much easier if I need to work on the car. No need to turn it on or get it wet if raining outside just to move it a few feet.

If it helps:

I can change both rear tires jacking from either point from the rear. But to change the front tires, I’ll jack each side separately.
