Want to replace 12v lighter adapter

Want to replace factory 12v adapter with another usb port. Do I have to pull the entire center console or does the non wireless tray come up?

I'm interested in this once you find out. I may be able to get info as well into what is below the tray, however, I imagine the center console may need to come out to gain access ?

Have you tried checking the user manuals available within this forum / available for download from the interwebs? They're like the Haynes books of years past. Might be before your time, though.

I assume you want the USB port to have a data connection to the car, similar to the existing one? If not and you only want power via USB then you can just get a low profile adapter like this:

Also, that tray does come up (both wireless and non-wireless) as I replaced my charging tray with the OEM non-charging version. I don't recall if there was much access to the USB / Power port while it was removed tho, as you don't have to remove the larger center console trim to swap out the tray.
