But LEDs look killer
One man's 'killer' is another man's 'i don't think this looks great, looks heavy, and would increase track times.' But diversity in the car community is what I love about it so much. Keep it up!

Fucks with classes. It's no longer 'full interior' when you remove seats/speakers. If I buy another one.. or maybe a Lotus or something for the 'weekend' car, the Supra will go full race car, and 'Street Car' class becomes an option, sure.

Spent as little time yesterday logging some data through the JB4 on map 2. Installed the ProClip Supra mount and was able to conveniently monitor engine perimeters during the process. Stopped for lunch at Ace Cafe Orlando and ran into a few Audi R8 owners and a dude with a Noble M400!

Received my wheel from @NitroYellowMKV , man did Toyota miss the mark with the stock one. Next up is the Pure from @Jesse DaBears . Great group of people on here to learn from and support ?
I did the seat belts and start/stop button a few weeks ago.

Yup. Agree. I think there's plenty of room on a built, non-stroker, stock block to handle upwards of 1200. Maybe more. We're getting there. Untill I see the 3.2s doing real work, I'm going to keep pushing the 3.0 as far as possible.

I'm assuming you're not going to be ready for MITM, but.. assumptions. You going?
It's possible to be ready for it but the labor cost is what may take a bit. It's all money I did not want to drop right now lol

I just got back home to Wisconsin from the Nashville area. I went to go with my dad to the Nashville Cars and Coffee event. We had been planning the trip since last summer.

Now I’ve never shared, but my dad is an Engineer, driver and huge car enthusiast. He’s also getting older, at 72, now.

Since December, I’ve been building this Toyota Supra. Mostly because I wanted to build something that he could look at and be proud, be able to see the change that I’ve made in my life. I didn’t always make the best decisions, and I put my dad through a lot. So in about 4 months, I completed everything on my build list, literally days before the event.

I made the long 11 hour journey in the Supra, and arrive late around 8PM Friday. To get a spot at the event, you need to be there by 7 AM, and we are an hour away. I plan to meet my dad the next day at 5:30 AM.

I arrive at his house at our scheduled time, and when he comes to the door I quickly realize that this is not happening. My dad. He’s not well, see — he has Parkinson’s, and recent back surgeries, and some serious cancer reconstruction.

It’s been two and a half years since I’ve seen him. And it’s as if he’s aged 20 years.

He putters his way outside braced by a cane, and he is determined to sit in the Supra, and to go to this event. And I begrudgingly help him, slowly back into the car, brace against the door to help him in. I have to move his feet inside the car for him. The bolster hurts. I have to move him to the middle of the seat.

I’m kneeling beside him, helping him in and I tell him “Dad, we are not going to the event.” He responds that he doesn’t want to disappoint me. And I tell him I don’t care about the event at all, I just wanted him to see the car, that I would make the trip a hundred times over. He tells me that he is proud, and that the car is like a work of art.

The rest of the day I’ll save selfishly.

This forum has been a great place to learn and build with this platform. I think I’m at the “Huston, we’ve landed.”stage here, and I’ll be updating my build post once more.

That said, thanks for listening and the friendships that I’ve made here along the way.
