What did you do to your Supra today?

After seeing this I tore my factory box apart to see the design. The BMW box is totally sealed from engine heat. The filter is excellent, many large deep folds. Has a large tube going to the front of the grill for cold air. The MST unit can only suck air from the engine compartment.

Hey man, don't mess with the whoosh noises

I did an intake on my STI, I hate those whoosh noises. Returned it to the stock intake after 2 weeks. It's right up there with excessive camber and bolt on flares imo

But to each their own etc.

washed her for the first time last night. Dealer had it on display up front next to the road but also near landscaping so its covered in water spots on both sides. Ordered pads and cut/polish compound from Oberk to do a full detail, hopefully next weekend

MST is pretty well sealed and uses the same OEM air source only with a bigger opening since the airbox side facing the grill is fully open

Here’s a comparison photo. Really wish the le wheels were an option for the premium cars.

I'll be doing that this weekend as well. Really makes the car look more aggressive! I've got a kit of the new HyperDip. Supposedly a richer and deeper black and smoother finish. So if you decide to ever re-dip the wheels down the road go check out HyperDip. Its from dipyourcar and was specifically designed for automotive use

That's the hole for the throttle body tube. Your box has no tube opening going to the grill.

The air box is a bit of folded metal

It picks up air from both the front of the car & inside the wheel well, so even more air available to it than the factory filter

There has been talk of higher intake temps, not sure if that would negate the improvement in airflow or not.

Appears to be an increase in HP, a couple of dyno run videos to show it does floating around

Certainly noticeably increases the intake noise
