Then you can easily get 65k+ in a private sale
Thanks for replying to the original question of this thread. You are probably correct. I looked on auto trader and that website suggested an asking price of 66,830. I think that's the route that I'm going to go.

The reality of it is cars are depreciating assets and if you buy a new car with the anticipation it will be worth more in a month or 2, you have most likely made a bad decision. If you want to get in the business of buying and selling cars at a profit, open or buy a dealership. Otherwise, buy Apple stock, google stock or a great ETF. Good luck.

I just had a dealer offer 62.
Take it and don’t look back. How much did you pay after tax? What are you buying instead?
Just curious :)

I’ll take that 62k offer all day. if You want real value, auction sites has lisTed this car in mint no miles and sold slightly above MSRP. Even if you can get 65k to the right buyer privately, I found 99% of interest party are scammers, data collector, tire kickers, low offer. You will waste many days setting aside time to view the car. The extra 3% sqeeze isn’t worth it. Better deal if the car You want they can take a trade of 62k to offset the tax difference.

People must have conversations with themselves in their own heads. This is asinine.

Good advice. You asked. Everyone has different ways of helping and it doesn’t hurt to have a little fun along the way. Right?

Anyway, what made you want to sell? And if you‘re willing to move on (opportunity cost), take that dealer $62k. Like @DR.COKE said, you’ll save on taxes as well.

Can you pluck off that rear wing first? I kind of like it. Things happen. I hope you get the amount you're looking for.

Sounds like you have some flexibility on time, so I'd try to sell it privately and see how that works. I thought listing on AutoTrader is worth the price. I think it's $45 plus you get a vehicle history report. There always will be a lot of clowns you have to sort through. I've actually sold a couple over the past year on Facebook Marketplace and one on Cars.com. But I could provide the vehicle history report from Autotrader even if someone reached out through the other sites. You will get dealers too who will reach out to you.

I'm still getting used to driving mine also on a more regular basis. It's a pretty expensive car for me. You mentioned several other cars. What is your go to for a daily driver?
