WINDOW TINT

I bought mine with around 3k miles on it (the person that purchased it new, tinted the windows). It appears to be 20% or 15%, as my friend who got his A90 done has 35% and mine is FAR darker. Love it during the day, but you have to be extra cautious at night, LOL.

the PO of my car had the tint dark... and at night couldnt see shit out this thing.. first thing i did was retint the whole car with ceramic 35% and Air 80 on the windshield. no issues with heat, i cant feel the sun through it. I dont know who showed it to me back in 2012 when i moved to the desert, but every car since then has got ceramic all around and air 80 on the windshield

I do miss the blacked out look, but hated driving at night and couldnt see anything out of the car

I'm running 15% XPEL Ceramic on sides and rear, 50% on front windshield. I live in FL so it's kind of a must, and like someone else said on this thread they don't really care too much about tint laws down here. No issues with night time visibility for me personally.

SunTek CIR 30. 20% all around, 70% on the windshield. It's like driving a pair of sunglasses on a nice day.

Looking for advice on tint. We are an Arizona Supra so 35% on the sides is our darkest allowable tint. Looking at the examples here, that's fine. We may even step up to something less dark when I see samples in person. We are going ceramic.

Goals for Tint
1. Heat Reduction
2. Reduce fatigue driving road trips
3. Privacy - no point peeking in when its parked.
4. Looks bad-ass

My question is about the back glass. Since it is more horizontal than vertical, the sun shines down into the car through that glass. Definitely a green house effect. With ceramic, does darker provide any real measurable benefit? Or does the ceramic do all of the heat repelling and the darkness is just a stylistic add on?

I'm thinking about going 50% to 35% all the way around but with a car that's already hard to see out of, I don't want to create a safety issue.
