Xhp shift points help

I edited my shift points in S-mode and M-mode gears 3-8 to shift at 5900. It ONLY shifts at 5900 in S-mode when I just give it WOT but when I put the car in manual mode or hold down the paddle, it shifts at redline not at 5900rpms.
I have the kickdown off.
Why does it do that?
How do I get it to shift at 5900 in basically M-mode/hold paddles down too???
