Do you have any data logging from before noise? If so compare to now and see if any of the parameters are different. This might help indicate where the problem is.

You should reach out to Visconti too. They might be able to help diagnose. We can only speculate here.

Like I said, try clearing codes even if you cant see them on your end. The cheap scanners consumers use are not able to see everything.
iā€™m going to give that a try for sure i have a friend bringing over a shop scanner to try and get more information

Honestly, have you checked your cars oil level? Do you have an oil leak anywhere? If you did a recent oil change, what oil was put into it?
no oil leaks no pillowing smoke ive had zero oil consumption issues so i kinda ruled that out as a possibility but i will check it!

Also check for debris in the turbo and look for a crack. This is why I tell people to keep OEM parts. Sure itā€™ll take you a good weekend to replace all parts, but at least you wonā€™t be out $2000+ for a turbo
i couldnā€™t find any hairline cracks with my endoscope and the turbo is very very clean all things considered

Interested to know what happened as Iā€™m in the process of getting my flex fuel tune with Visconti.

Perhaps a boost leak? Maybe check all clamps going down the pipes. That wooshing noise might be a small leak coming from somewhere.

Goodluck, hope itā€™s nothing major

Possibly a chipped or bent impeller on the exhaust side. Or the bearing has been over spun.
I was thinking bearing also. I know these tuned stock turbos are getting over driven at times during peak output.

Did you figure out what the problem was?

I am about 80% certain its turbo related. every post and mechanic iā€™ve talked to ultimately said it probably the turbo. I actually purchased the one you sent me earlier and iā€™m going to take the turbo off this weekend and take a closer look to see what really happened.

Check to see if the turbo has shaft play. If you can move the shaft back and forth that is not good. Some turbo companies allow a tiny amount when you go up and down. Others don't want any.
