Hi everyone, I’m at that stage with the Supra where I’ve completed the e40 + downpipe tune, now I’m starting to get an eye on the next step.

What I’m seeing people do next is the Pure 800 and direct injection upgrade.

I’m curious how much power you get from this, on 93 octane. I daily my Supra, and don’t want to deal with keeping and eye on the meth content.

But I’d also possibly be interested in full e85 tunes as well since you wouldn’t have to measure the blend content. But if I’m not mistaken, every gas station has different ethanol content in their E85. Is the tune able to adjust accordingly for that factor?

Thanks guys!!

This is the setup I'm going for and after talking with tuner it sounds like 500-550 on pump and 650-700 on e85. A flex tune will be able to adjust based on your e-ratio. Trans usually starts skipping around 550-600wtq so might be something to consider.

This seems.. low. Stock turbo can make 500.

Interesting, thanks for this!
So even with direct injection on a pure 800, it can only get up to 550 with 93 gas

500-550 whp on pump gas for a Pure800 seems in the ballpark to me for a very conservative tune. It's consistent with what I've been told anyway.

I don't think I've personally seen a stock turbo get to 500-550 on pump gas. Not saying it's not possible--just that I haven't seen it.

This is correct. I didn’t see that we were talking strictly pump gas. E50 can get 550 on stock turbo

I'm not talking record breakers. I'm uhhh not trying to break records on my motor. I found similar numbers looking for others with similar setups but honestly there wasn't a lot of data points for comparison. I only found a few running 93 w/o meth.

I appreciate the info!! Most likely if I want the most accurate info, I’ll need to just go ahead and contact Payne directly, or twisted tuning. I don’t expect it to be far off from 550 on 93 or 650 on e85 though like you said.

If you're doing Port Injection using Reflex you can have Flex fuel capability. It is up to you and your tuner if you want it setup from 93 oct to full e85 or e50.

But if you are doing PI + Pure800 there should be no reason not to tune for ethanol since it literally everywhere here in Jax. Just make sure you are budgeted for the trans upgrade and axles if you plan on using drag radials or wanting hard launches out of the car. Ive seen enough guys i know break axles will just e50 tunes.

I wonder what the market value on a set of axles is right now considering the unavailability ?…
