Toyota breaking software recall cant be completed

Hendrick Toyota told me they cant upload the software update to fix this recall because I have a aftermarket sounds system. How that's possible no clue.

I have the same problem and have been told that I must first reinstall the original amp because the ECU communicates with the stock amp. With the after market amp (Audio Plus, great system) there are many errors--original is part of the computer loop-different computers

This is correct - my audio guy went to Toyota dealer, got the car, put oem amp back in temporarily, took back and update was completed, then picked up car and reinstalled amp/DSP.
