I learned recently that the factory horn sounds good with a $17 mod available on Amazon.

And a couple of hours.. easy peasy.

Amen! I opted for the secondary bmw low pitch horn to complete the needed loud sound.

I learned that it’s a total dick magnet at the gas station. Pretty sure I didn’t see that in the manual. They need to add that. “The owner may expect to be approached by male strangers with frequency when the vehicle is refueling.”

Wait, on the paddles? Like it will move the shifter for you? Kind of how if you are in manual mode and hit the park button, the shifter moves on its own?

No it will not move the shifter. It only works when you downshift on the paddle then want it to go back to automatic without flicking the shifter back and forth

If you hold down one of the distance setting buttons for active cruise control, it will deactivate the radar turning it into regular old school cruise control. Hold down one of the buttons to reactivate radar.

Don’t think that’s in the book but I honestly haven’t checked

Edit: I just realized that this is the first time I've seen a toyota logo on a part of this car (you can see it on the top of the part)

Yeah, if you do it right, you don't really 'yank' it. You squeeze in towards the middle. There are two clips-- one on each size, that hold the cover in.

I have found that feature to be very distance dependent. I have to be super close to the car for it to work.

You’ll find out there’s plenty. Anything that isn’t sourced from BMW would be a Toyota part and you can order replacements from their parts site.
