Friend of a friend that works at the dealership. Told him what I was looking for, he watched the allocations and got lucky enough to grab one that’s pretty damn close to what I wanted. Has cf mirror caps and locking wheel bolts but everything else is spot on.

I've had a thing for purply-blues for years, amongst them a GC8 WRX 'Reddish blue' in 1998, more recently Lexus ISF in 'Flame Blue' which is very similar to this Portimao/Stratosphere Blue.

Not sure about this color anymore. During the reveal it looked good. After seeing “irl” pictures, it just looks dull in certain lighting. Misano Blue/Refraction looks 10x more fun/better to me.

It's darker in real life than it looks in a lot of pictures. Stop by a bmw dealership that has something in portimao if you want a good idea of how it will look.

There was a blue M3 at the track last weekend that was absolutely stunning. I got excited thinking it was Portimao but after some googling it was San Marino. ?

San Marino blue is in my mind the nicest blue bmw offers.

It changes dramatically based on the lighting. I've seen Portimao BMW's in person, one in the bright daylight and one at dusk and you'd think it was a different colour. The bright sun really lightens it up and washes it out in my opinion, but at dusk it's so deep and purpley, I love it and can't wait for mine to arrive!

1. How to get the VSC fully off, afterwards the car was a lot more in control during drifting
2. The rev match was good
3. haiyaiii by orido, car is fast.
4. Great balance and handling, the fact that it can drift the fast corners at Fuji is pretty awesome

Looks like a non A91 (no red badge + black interior)? If so, a) that confirms the non A91’s get the same wheels as the A91’s and b) Stratosphere Blue with those black wheels looks amazing ?

Whatever their lighting is makes that colour look really dull.... almost looks like downshift blue there.
