It's technically a no cost option. I think it's just required that you order the manual with the drivers assistance package vs it being optional for the automatics.I think EVERY review I have read or heard says that "Toyota now offers a 6-spd manual at no additional costs". It's an $1,195 option on the premium and $2,620 more on the 3.0 base.
I guess they believe people will pay whatever is asked. I really thought about making the switch, but I can't say I would pay anything more over the ZF8.
If you fully option out a 3.0 premium auto vs the manual, it's the same price.
