In certain light its apparent that its only 50%, but I wanted a minor difference at most. NH doesnt even allow tint, so this is pushing it :(
That makes complete sense. I'm always tempted to tint, but haven't committed myself to it yet.

If you are ever wary about tint laws, just go with a 70%. That's 70% of light allowed through and virtually imperceptible to the naked eye unless under overcast conditions. Windshield included. In overcast conditions, tint tends to mess with the reflections and "betray" the presence of tint, similar to how 'one way' mirrors work.

Even the most overzealous cop will struggle to detect a 70% without being at the window.

Tint is the first thing I do. Literally as I'm driving off the lot, I'm making the appt. Can't fish bowl. Haha. Even in California, I'd do it, and just have it redone if I got rolled. Single cheapest mod imo. Changes the whole stance.

I believe the OEM glass already has a 70% tint to it. So doing another 70% will make it darker. Shouldn’t matter unless an officer is having a bad day.

Finally track prepping. Wheels, tires, brake pads and fluid. Getting ready for Bimmer Challenge.
Found another advantage to the base model: no paint on the calipers to worry about. ?
