What did i blow?

During a pull i felt a hiccup and tons of smoke. Oil everywhere in front passenger side of engine. Looks like oil is coming out of the front passenger side corner of the valve cover. Valve cover gasket will need replaced for sure. The question is what else should i be looking for? and what do i need to do so this doesn't happen again?

Without pictures or mod list possibilities are:

* Valve cover itself
* Engine block
* Head gasket
* Turbo
* Anything else that has oil.

This spot is where it looks like oil is coming out of.

I also noticed this coming out of the block which is not going anywhere or capped off.

This is a custom top mount kit with bl67x turbo. I bought the car like this and not 100% familiar with this platform yet.

The second is the pcv. Normally plugs into intake.

I think there should be a catch can if you have you PCV and CCV open like this. Could be some of the oil you have.

Make sure you didn't get access oil in the cylinders by removing the spark plugs and using a borescope camera.

2.5 years later, I have a feeling he already knows if there was excess oil in the cylinders.
