Splitter?!

Hello guys,

maybe some of you already know my build-thread. After installing a wing i realized it's time for a splitter. Why? To reset the balance of downforce: Mainly in highspeed scenarios, where the suspension is first compressed and then the load changes, the front axle becomes phenomenal light. So like i did with my wing, i want to develop a custom splitter. I know, there are several good working parts on the market.
But i want to create something unique, maybe a little bit less agressive, maybe a little bit more track orientated...?! I'm curious about your ideas

Definitely take a look at getting some alumalite! I got a huge sheet for ~$120 and it's enough to make side skirts and a 2 piece splitter. My plan is to emulate the basic design of Verus's splitter but make it quick detach so that I can install/remove and split it to fit in the hatch. My roads around Pittsburgh are terrible so that would make life a lot easier. I haven't don't a ton of work on it just yet (working on the side skirts right now) but I'm looking at the mounts from professional awesome and maybe 2 splitter rods.

Either that or build it in such a way that I can drive up on some ramps/wood and just zip off a handful of bolts lol.

Great idea! That material looks good. I already tried Aluminum Dibond, thats nearly the same, just without the structure between the aluminum sheets.
Thought about the same: Building it in such way that it is easy to assemble and disassemble the splitter for a daily driver.

I'll post updates about my thoughts, wouldlove to see some pics of it @rwense!

How's your splitter builds coming? I'm about to start on mine. Got a set of professional awesome QR brackets. Thinking my biggest challenge will be building the air dam as I'm not running anything on top. Will be using berch this go around.

Thank you sir. It was a bit of work but the real testing will be at the track. There is still more I can do to improve it and better functionality but I'll make changes as I go.

Just curious, how much does it weigh? And it looks like the only connecting points are the PA QD mounts and the 2 splitter rods up front correct?
