The car also has "k" in the VIN indicating its a 2019 model when the car is going to be 2020

it may be development cars, test cars in concession, or simply racing cars.

I am perfectly okay with the 340hp number and here are my reasons

1. 340hp for 3280lbs.....thats not amazing by any means but not horrible
2. We know the car is supposed to have approximately 340ish ft/lbs which for canyon carving at that weight....should be a good time!
3. Most importantly (for me anyways) the lower horsepower from factory number SHOULD mean the car's price in the US won't start with a 6. More money for tuning / performance mods. (I realize point 3 might not apply to everyone, as everyone won't be tuning the car right away or at all)

- Corvette Base (455hp @ 3298lbs) $55k
- Shelby Mustang (526hp @ 3760lbs) $57k

Yeah, I was trying to keep cars under $40k and under 340hp out of the list. Bang for buck, the 370Z still is a good buy though.

I agree, the Corvette has come a long way in terms of refinements. It really is a fantastic car for the money, and reliability has been great too.

The Z has been a disappointment for me since the 350Z. I was one of the first few people in the U.S. to take delivery of one in 2003. I sold mine a year later because I hated it so much. The 370Z is a vast improvement though. For the money, nothing touches a Z.

The new Ford Mustang (Shelby) is one hell of a machine, I test drove a co-workers GT350, and I gotta say Ford really did their homework on this car. The interior is alot nicer than that of a GT for sure. Motor is unbelievably smooth.

I also hoped because I find the diameter of exhaust really huge for the power displayed.
But you have to see the reality.

I truly hope there will be a "second head" available....for upgrading sake. Like a Yamaha head with six intake and six exhaust ports. Because this integrated head BS has absolutely no performance benefits...just heats up the coolant quicker at start-up, and keeps the temps cooler on the exhaust side of the head. Zero performance benefits. The tuners will be limited to porting the head because the "semi-siamese" type of ports on the exhaust...there will be limitations to the amount of material you can take off on the port because you will affect the structural integrity between the exhaust ports and the cooling jackets.

Curious how Tada San tested "700HP" out of this motor???
