Agreed, the process of getting the car was a nearly 12-month long journey that was extremely unpleasant. Some more crappy dealer experiences (mine included) are detailed here: Dealership Experiences | SupraMKV - 2020+ Toyota Supra Forum (A90 MKV Generation)
I will say, my dealership made my experience basically as smooth as it could have possibly been, but I also have a lot of report built with the dealership as I spent a few years working at it, years ago now, but I know all the owners, managers, etc by name so my experience probably isn't reflective of the average consumer experience.

Everyone I've recommended there to buy a car, Supra or not has also been sold one at MSRP, no forced add-ons, PDI's are done properly, etc, the caveat being that there's a wait time/list and ultimately you're at the mercy of Toyota's allocation system.

My issues lie mainly with Toyota and the way they do their allocations because it allows dealers to employ shady sales tactics being a low volume car, but then you're not even guaranteed the spec you order. Then ontop of that, there's literally no communication between Toyota and the dealers from the point the request for allocation goes in, and the point they get allocated a unit, and then there's no way to track the build process, vessel, etc. I know for the US cars there's a way, but Canada seemingly gets shafted in that department in a similar way we get shafted for allocations vs. the US.

So anyone ordering a car is basically left twiddling their thumbs until the allocation confirmation arrives, and then twiddling their thumbs some more until the car shows up on the truck at the dealer. So it ends up making what otherwise should be an exciting process, feel stressful, since everyone is basically in the dark until the car shows up. This is made worse by the fact that BoC keeps hiking the base rate, so for people who are leasing or financing, Toyota won't lock in your rate until the vehicle is slated to arrive and the dealership has their delivery window for the car, so between the time you put in the order and 10-12 months later when the car shows up, your interest rate could very likely be 1-2% higher than it was when you ordered the car initially. Hopefully that won't be the case forever but, for a lot of people who ordered 23's while interest rates were low, by the time their cars actually showed up, rates had jumped, which is a fair bit annoying as Toyota historically already has high(er) rates compared to other manufacturers in the same space.

Yah my dealership experience wasn't great, but I wholeheartedly agree that the way Toyota does orders/allocations is atrocious. Unless they actually make a spicy GRMN Supra (which I highly doubt) I will likely never buy a Toyota again.

That’s the dealership that wouldn’t sell it to me due to being “out of region” - Toyota Canada rule apparently …..
It's more to do with finance department not able/ limited to lending outside of their region. Risk thing. I can't do lending for someone in BC if they haven't had long history with me in Sask. Etc.

Other than painfully slow to get the car from when I ordered, my dealer was excellent.
I used Nanaimo, BC Toyota. No dealer markups or aggressive upselling, super friendly efficient buying process. Hopefully my getting my car serviced with them will be as positive an experience as buying. I'd recommend them without hesitation.

As per the Toyota builder which still has '23 models listed, $74,129.10 is the MSRP... so add a little PPF on that thing which the listing states and it seems like a normal price.
MSRP on a 23 MT is 74.1? I paid 70k MSRP for mine

dealer pricing has been all over the place for these. I know there was a price increase either late last year or earlier this year to 72k but 74 now.. wow. I paid 68.6 before tax for my 23MT.

I had to go grab my papers I think the variance in the MSRP is because toyota MSRP includes PDI and Destination fees so must vary province to province for delivery

Ahh okay. My MSRP was 68,640 and the freight was 1,820 so it’s similar to yours.
