Super on the fence about the Adro Wing, got the whole kit except for the wing. The only two issues that are really holding me back on the wing are the cutting the massive hole on the under side of the trunk lid and the possibility of a warped trunk lid. Is the interior trunk panel replaceable or would it require a whole new trunk lid? Also is there a possibility of the warping the lid ? Hope
To hear your thoughts!!

I dont have the ADRO wing, but I do have another (Verus Eng) and will try to answer your questions as best as I can.

"Is the interior trunk panel replaceable or would it require a whole new trunk lid?"

The interior plastic is a separate part. You wouldd need to repair the trunk itself as well if you removed the wing as you have to drill holes in it.

"Also is there a possibility of the warping the lid ?"

The trunk is made of plastic, so, of course. Thats the game you play with anything aftermarket. Id say my Verus wing puts most of the force in a similar spot as the ADRO, on the trunk support, and Ive had no issues. It would also depend on how fast you plan on going with the car. Its not a huge wing, and isnt very high, so I dont suspect it will create the amount of downforce necessary to cause issues, but, maybe.

Simply put yes the interior piece can be replaced and the hatch itself can be repaired. I wouldn’t worry about warping if you’re already punching holes in stuff.

The real question you need to ask is, is the look worth all that vs something with backed up performance data like a Verus wing.

I said go for it, it’s a great looking wing and overall kit and if you’re going to own and drive the car for a while, enjoy it and don’t worry about anything else. If one day you decide to sell it, there is definitely somebody out there who will want to own it. What color Supra do you have? Please be sure and post pictures of your install and finished product.

So the ADRO wing is mainly for looks?
In the context of a regular GT wing level of downforce, ADRO is for looks. I have questioned the height of the Adro wing from the beginning. It’s too low to generate any serious downforce. A pity cause the wing looks good ans is the closest to the GT4 wing that I like

Really?
I looked into parts diagrams and from what I found (which I still find hard to believe) is that the main plastic panel is attached to trunk itself and comes as one piece.

Its possible I misconstrued the center section of trim as a replacement for the whole thing. It may be one piece. The whole thing is plastic after all.

Hey @JerseyMKV3.0, so just to revive this, I read @mojo_jojo77777 comment and had to double check myself.

I was indeed incorrect. That interior piece is NOT a replaceable trim panel. It is the hatch itself. Not sure how I never noticed. I was baffled why they would cut it like that on the video but wrote it off as some stupid rice “looks cool” reason.

If you cut those panels out, it’s permanent. Would require the whole hatch to be replaced to reverse.

Good catch @mojo_jojo77777

Its strange since I originally thought that piece had to be removable. Few weeks ago, I had a rock somehow lodge itself between the glass and rubber weatherstripping and would roll back and forth from the top to bottom of hatch whenever I'd open it.
I could find where it was at first, and tried taking apart the plastic trim to investigate further, but could only pop off a few of the panels but not the main one.

I only happened to glimpse the rock between the weatherstripping, or else wouldve gone crazy trying to find it. lol.

I guess another indication I shoulve realized earlier is that the VIN sticker/plate is on the plastic trim itself instead of the painted hatch part somewhere else.

Really unfortunate that piece isnt replaceable, since it seems if removing wing at later point in time, the holes on top would be easy to fill, but would leave gaping holes on inside of trunk

I just got confirmation from Adro they are designing taller uprights for the wing, to be released in December as well as a rear diffuser, eta unknown
